My daughter, my son, and all the individuals I have worked with over the years taught me the value and importance of inclusive, creative spaces!

Hi! My name is Angie (A.K.A. Miss Angie). Inspired by motherhood and a career in education, I started The Bright Spot to literally be a Bright Spot in your day!

The Bright Spot is a fun, welcoming, inclusive space where, community, creativity, exploration, and lifelong learning come together.

The Bright Spot offers custom designed creative and educational classes, camps, and celebrations for children, homeschool groups, adults, and families.

We are located off Nicholasville Road, between Trader Joe’s and Chick-fil-A. To find us, turn onto Denis Drive (across from these landmarks), and we’re just a tenth of a mile down on the left. We’re tucked a bit off the Denis Drive Office Suites, so keep an eye out!

    The Bright Spot is truly a gem for Lexington families! We absolutely love The Bright Spot!   • A Hidden Gem for Fun, Learning, and Celebration

    The Bright Spot is a hidden gem, and we are so glad to have discovered it. Our son is mad about Legos, and we started with the monthly Lego clubs. He never wants to leave and is always ready to come back for more. He wanted to have a Lego-themed birthday party there and Angie was so easy and wonderful to work with. She selected a project that worked with our theme, everything was ready for the kids when we arrived, and we were even able to have a magician come in for a show. The teachers have always been welcoming, inclusive, and kind.

  • A Summer of Creativity and Community

    We absolutely loved our experience at The Bright Spot summer camps! My daughter had an amazing time and truly looked forward to each day. My daughter was practically running inside ready to be creative! She learned so many new skills, from sewing and stop-motion animation to building with Legos, and had the chance to express her creativity in so many ways. The atmosphere is vibrant, colorful, and full of fun, which made it such an inspiring environment for her. Angie is incredibly kind and great with communication, which made the whole experience even better. We can’t wait for next creative experience!!

Join a dynamic environment alongside Purposeful Play, Wildwood Music Therapy, and more. Our spaces are designed to foster collaboration and connection.

  • Purposeful Play Lex is housed in our studio spaces. Purposeful Play crafts enriching and intentional playgroups for infants and toddlers. Designed for both child and caregiver, each session fosters connection, sparks curiosity, and provides tools to encourage your little one’s development beyond the classroom.

  • Wildwood Music Therapy is housed in our studio spaces. Wildwood Music offers inclusive and evidence-based music therapy and lessons designed to support whole-person wellness and emotional health. Each session fosters creativity, connection, and collaboration, strengthening existing communities while inspiring new ones through meaningful music experiences.
